My career has been a dynamic and evolving journey, yet it has always been anchored by my core values: a deep love for teaching, respect for family and community, and an unwavering commitment to social needs. I have continually sought new avenues to apply these principles.
At heart, I am a teacher. My formal education includes a Mathematics degree from Ruia College, Mumbai, and a PhD achieved after settling in London. My professional experience in education is extensive:
With over 25 years in the field of education, I felt a strong pull to leverage my skills for greater community good, which led to the creation of Kolumbus.
The value of giving back has been instilled in me since my youth. As a teenager, I taught in Adivasi Vasahat in Pune, and as a young teacher, I would read to blind students from the school in Worli, Mumbai. Even now, I actively, regularly volunteer for the VIP club (Visually Impaired People) of Brent, UK. I am also a very active member of the Maharashtra Mandal London, where I have served as a Trustee for many years. In my personal time, I find joy in cooking, gardening, and socialising.
